Hourglass is passionate about ending the abuse of older people and promoting a society where every person, regardless of background or culture, has the right to age safely. Corporate support is critical to enable us to do this. We appreciate that no two organisations are the same, but fortunately there are many ways to get involved.
A partnership with Hourglass doesn’t just mean your organisation is standing with us, fighting to end the abuse of older people in this country -we want to work with you to help you achieve your strategic goals, improve employee engagement and ensure your CSR plans are implemented.
Here are some of the ways Hourglass’s corporate partnership can benefit your business:
Engaging your employees to make a life changing difference
This last year has been challenging for all of us. Our partnerships can be a great way to bring your team and staff together. That could be working on a specific fundraising plan or helping us spread the word about the harm, abuse and exploitation of older people in Britain – all to often a hidden problem. We can work with you to put together team building activities around fundraising, or speak with your staff about how volunteering with us can quite literally have a positive life-changing effect on an older person. These activities help increase staff loyalty, motivation and productivity
Showcasing your organisation’s CSR
Corporate social responsibility is important for all businesses. It helps build trust and goodwill amongst employees, suppliers and of course customers and clients. It helps attract staff and new business who identify with your business’s core values. A partnership with Hourglass will help demonstrate your organisation’s commitment to protecting the lives of vulnerable older people in this country and promote safer ageing.
We will work with you to ensure our partnership achievements are recognised. Our PR and fundraising team, will share your fundraising and volunteering work via: our website, social media platforms and newsletter, to our supporters; press releases to the relevant media outlets for you to share on your platforms, to your staff, investors, customers and prospects.
Charity of The Year:
Hourglass would love to be considered as your Charity of The Year. Our experienced team will work with you to ensure our partnership is mutually beneficial and lots of fun!
Our life changing charity objectives can fit hand in hand with your long-term strategic goals. We can help you meet your Key Performance Indicators and social responsibility targets and enable you to showcase your organisations social commitments and your dedication to giving back to society.
We run conferences and campaigns throughout the year. These help us drive policy or societal change, raise awareness, or educate. We can work with you to sponsor an event or campaign and put together a bespoke sponsorship package that will align your brand to positive change.
Fundraising specific research projects:
Hourglass is the only charity in the UK focussed exclusively on addressing the harm, abuse and exploitation of older people. We are one of the few organisations researching this issue. The results of our latest polling data, released in November 2020, received nationwide media coverage about the shocking attitudes towards older people and the extent of the abuse of older people. We would love the opportunity to speak with you about how your organisation can fund projects, relevant to you and your stakeholders.
Donating as an employee is also easy, simply set up Payroll giving for payments through PAYE from employee wages or pensions.

Any pro bono knowledge, expertise or time you can contribute, would be a great way to support us in our mission to promote safer ageing for all.
